Hungarian-owned electronic manufacturing service provider Videoton Holdingʼs revenue grew by 8% in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, co-CEO Otto Sinko said yesterday, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Videoton Holding had consolidated revenue of HUF 159 billion for the full year of 2016 and HUF 150 bln for 2015.

Sinko said Videoton had originally expected its revenues to grow by no more than 5% in H1 2017.

Between January and June the company spent HUF 4 bln on new investments, above their average level. Sinko said it was encouraging that it is investing to meet already secured orders.

Videoton is not planning to buy any companies this year, but if a good offer comes along it will be open to it, he added.
